Bunheads- “What’s Your Damage, Heather?”

We are Fanny-less a second week in a row on Bunheads, and I’m sure she’ll be back next week. Michelle is on her own once again- she’s overtired, disoriented and her parade is being rained on-literally. This Michelle is much different than last week’s birthday party girl- a total 360 to what she eventually becomes the Head Bitch in Charge.

Boo’s keeping track of Michelle’s busy teaching schedule. It looks like this is the first time in Michelle’s life that she was working a 9-5 job. She’s so used to working late and sleeping in all day. It’s also the first time Michelle is in control of anything. She feels some dripping water on her head, and finds out that some pipe is leaking in the girls locker room. Before she thinks of calling the plumber, she leaves Fanny an amazing message where is talking on behalf of both of them. She finds a guy-with an eye patch, who isn’t the greatest, or actually fixes the problem, small towns, right? Truly helps out the best she can, because her and Michelle are going to be best friends. (I smell bromance! Come on, she left work to help her out!)

Since this is Fanny’s school, the dancers must follow her rules. Most importantly, showing up right on time. Sasha sashays in 15 minutes late, telling the girls she did not get punished, but she was treated to a spa day! (I do not believe any of this, didn’t you see the look on her dad’s face last week?) Once classes are over for the day, Michelle is drying the carpet with a hairdryer, so it doesn’t smell like mildew. The girls offer their help, by using their own hairdryer for 3 hours. Michelle treats them to dinner at the Oyster Bar, and Michelle discusses her past with men and how much fun she had. We finally meet Ginny’s boyfriend since second grade, and it’s their 8 year anniversary (can i puke now?). Michelle is astounded that she’s been with the same guy for that long at her age. What could their best memories be, watching Barney and The Teletubbies?

For the time being, Michelle let the girls use her place and they take advantage of that. They go through her drawers, sit on her bed, snooping in every way possible. Except for Boo, cause she’s the nicest. Later, Michelle finds Sasha wearing one of her shirts. Sasha denies it to her face, which is dumb cause Siegfried and Roy gave that to her! Sasha waltzes in late once again, and Michelle will not have it. She takes her to the side and just freaks out on her. She is not ready for all this responsibility, and puts her in her place. Hopefully this is the end of bitchy Sasha.

What Michelle said affected Ginny’s “feelings” for Josh. She realized that she’s young, and this routine is getting boring and she eventually dumps him. Ginny’s mother (who is the real estate lady? Did I miss something?) basically threatens removing Ginny from the school, as long as Fanny’s back. I don’t think she really cares about her daughter’s relationship, she just wanted a handy guy to fix everything. I’m betting she’s the parent I will hate the most.

The episode ends with Boo’s mother giving Michelle motherly advice, being that the only mother figure she has is still vacating. She tells her not to be so hard on herself and that she does make a difference in the girls’ lives. Boo is very fond of her, and talks high of her. Boo’s mom is a good mother figure, although she seems to forget her son at car washes and grocery stores, she probably has a lot on her plate. Although that failure cake idea was terrible, we might be able to put behind it. She gave Michelle cookies and a juice box, so doesn’t that qualify being a good mother?

Random Remarks:

-Michelle calls Zumba Roomba. Is she really 36? She doesn’t even know what Twitter or Yelp is!

-Why Michelle and I could be friends- the peanut butter jar next to her bed and apologizing to the birds as she poured water all over them.

-Another pirate joke that could have worked- Eye Patch Adams.

-Now that Ginny is off the market, Melanie’s crummy brother is interested and wants Boo to put in a good word. WHY DO YOU LIKE HIM, GIRLFRIEND? He looks like he needs to throw himself in the shower.

-Truly’s mini fling with the pirate! When Michelle asks if they have history (I wanna say yes) but she claims that she’s still in love with Hubbell. She needs to get over it and start to grow up.
